Ringling Barnum CLOWN TITLE (1919) Two-sheet


This is a fantastic two-sheet produced by Strobridge during the first year of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows. This litho has been professionally mounted on linen and is in excellent condition. A+ - Museum Quality. Note the title and how "Barnum & Bailey" has been added to the bottom. A one-sheet -- using just the top half -- was used by Ringling Bros. during the 1918 season. The bottom portion was added after the "combine" was announced and voila! FOR TRADE. This is a very rare and unusual piece. It is available for trade for a poster of similar vintage, condition and value.


Ringling Barnum 740 HORSES (c.1930)


This is a striking one-sheet flat, produced by Strobridge circa 1930 and promoting the 740 horses that were carried with the big show at that time. Ringling Barnum GARGANTUA half-sheet up (1938)


This is a classic Strobridge design for John Ringling North's first great attraction - GARGANTUA. This original 1938 half-sheet litho is in very good condition. It has been mounted on "Japan-paper" and has some minor restoration work in the lower left corner. This is a much sought-after piece. FOR TRADE. Ringling-Barnum TERRELL JACOBS - BLACK LEOPARDS (1938)


This is a one-sheet flat, printed by Strobridge and used by Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey during the season of 1938. Ringling-Barnum CIRCUS KINGS Window Card (1933)


This window card was used during the "Golden Jubilee" 50th anniversary season of the Ringling Bros Circus in 1933. The piece is in very good condition though the lower left-hand corner is slightly bent. FOR TRADE. (This piece is for trade for a poster of similar vintage and value).

Ringling-Barnum HIPPO (1937)




This title featuring an open mouth hippo is typical of the great lithos printed for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey by Chicago's "Central Litho and Illinois Ptg" during the 1930s. This poster has been archivally preserved and professionally mounted on linen and is in excellent condition. FOR TRADE. Ringling-Barnum UBANGI SAVAGES (1931)


This half-sheet is a classic poster for this well-known attraction on the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus during the early 1930s. Ringling-Barnum WHITEFACE CLOWN (1933)

Ringling-Barnum 150 CLOWNS (1936)

Hamid Morton CLYDE BEATTY (1940)


This one-sheet flat for Hamid-Morton Circus is printed by Erie Litho and Ptg and uses artwork first used on the Cole Bros Circus in the late 1930s. Downie Bros CHARLES SPARKS (c.1934)


"Owner" bills have long been a part of circus advertising. This one-sheet upright for Charles Sparks, operator of Downie Bros in the early 1930s is a great example. FOR TRADE. This poster is in B- condition - and has tape repair on the reverse. It is available for trade for a similar item in value, vintage and condition.

Al G. Barnes Sells-Floto TWO TITLE SHEETS (1938)




Two title sheets for the Al G. Barnes and Sells-Floto Circus during the 1938 season - the last year that these titles were on the road. These two posters (a one-sheet title only and a half-sheet with an elephant graphic) are in good condition, with some slight water stains. FOR TRADE. Buffalo Ranch Wild West INDIANS (c.1913)


This is an anthentic one-sheet panel (or upright streamer) for the Buffalo Ranch Wild West Show, c.1913. This lithograph was executed by the Riverside Litho Co. of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Adam Forepaugh EXCURSION Herald (1894)


This is an authentic railroad excursion herald for the Adam Forepaugh Circus performance in Lancaster, New Hampshire - August 17 1894. This is a very rare letter press poster that has been professionally framed in the mid 1960s. FOR TRADE. (I will consider offers for posters of equal value, though not necessarily vintage)


Forepaugh-Sells EQUESTRIAN (1902)


This is an authentic lithograph for the Adam Forepaugh and Sells Bros Enormous Shows United for the season of 1902. This one-sheet lithograph is a classic equestrian - and was executed by the Strobridge Lithographing Co. of Cincinnati Ohio. It has been expertly mounted on linen and is in A+ Condition. FOR TRADE. Barnum & Bailey PORTRAITS (1915)


This is an original half-sheet flat, printed by Strobridge in 1915. This particular piece is mounted on Chartex/Linen. There is a bit of tape stain in the upper right corner.
